To anybody looking to get a costly transmission repair for their car or vehicle You would be advised to read this entire complaint. AND Please be very careful before you give anybody the keys to your car ( Check credentials ; double check and triple check to avoid the same horrible experience I had ). My 2004 Ford f 150 was having transmission problems so I went on the internet to get some info on getting it fixed. I saw an ad with an advertised price of $1349.00 ( Almost every vehicle will not qualify for this price & This is the bait the conman uses to lure you into his trap - DO NOT FALL FOR IT !! ) The ad he uses is a cunning funny cartoon mechanic figure in overalls. ( This is so you will put your guard down ) The guy that answered the phone was a guy with a NY/NJ accent. He called himself James I was suspicious but he kept reassuring me the price would not go up. I kept asking " Will the price go up much more than $1349.00 , excluding taxes and fluid and filter ( I was short on money; was waiting for 401k loan) . He kept saying " Lets get in to my shop and get it diagnosed and we will go from there ...WOW BIG LIE !! He also said " with these type of Ford f F 150's the price usually stays around this amout. ( After my ordeal I found out a good bench rebuild will never be able to cost this. At least a $1000.00 dollars more ) So Mr Transmission Rip-off man begins all conversations with lies. ; . AND here are 2 Big LIES : The first he does not work or manage or is any way a part of the ownership at all with the shop that the car was taken. As a matter of fact after reading other reviewers he lives in New York ( 1000 miles away) ; The car was taken to Certified Transmissions in Marietta Ga at 1580 Lower Roswell Rd. So why are we talking to this con-man :( Definition : a man who cheats or tricks some one by gaining their trust and persuading them to believe something that is not true ) Whoa so this is why ?? 2nd big LIE by this thief was that the price always goes up. This was obvious after I tried to settle with paying with this conman and was able to read the MANY negative reviews on him on the internet was the price always goes up. The bait and switch by the legendary transmission internet conman James Saroka from the NY area.. I was also sweet talked into the free tow and had the car picked up. Another LIE is that the towing fee will be in the price.I know a tow driver from Lithonia Ga and he said the auto repair shops slip the extra fee into the price. So this guy LIED and Lied again , over and over and just kept telling more and more lies. Several days and several phone calls later , ( now I know my suspicions were right ) that just dragged on with stupid and rude excuses from this guy James. 4 days later !!! and he tells me " BAD NEWS because this thing was blown , your other things are messed up and it's gonna cost more money. $1250.00 more !!! I was really mad. So 2 days later and 7 more phone calls and lot of yelling back and forth at each other on the phone , and I'm down to about $2300.00. A far cry from the advertised price. Plus this guy can get really nasty. He really is a foul mouthed jerk. I paid and got the car back from Certified Transmissions in Marietta , here in Ga. And, he does not work there as I had mentioned before. I also feel like I aged 2 more years in the last 2 weeks not to mnetion the amount of stress I had to endure. And in the last 7 months the car had to go back 2 times because of terrible performance. Of course Mr conman says " stop beating on your Ford ". My mechanic says most likely it's a used transmission and not rebuilt. This guy is HORRIBLE. Stay away from him. He will rob you blind. I wish I had seen all of the Negative reviews on this guy, and would have been safer and much better off. LIke one of the reviewers said "this guy went to far. Thank You and Amen to that that reviewer and please keep these reviews in the eye of the public so they will not fall to victim of his greedy scam.Show more...
