The company in question contacted me today to try to get personal information to allow me to "receive grants." This must be a scam bc the phone number given was similar to that of one given to my parents asking them to give up their SS# for an IRS issue a month ago (my brother is in the IRS and said it was a scam). The rep proceeds to tell me the call if for the "USA GOVERNMENT GRANT" informing me that I have been selected for a grant from the US. Also they told me with a ID Claim number GL25916, and a phone call to 253-271-4534 and ask for this particular rep or ask for "manager" (foregoing an "a" before manager). I have to say this is the first time I've heard about departments of the US gov. working together to both take and give money away, The person in question, RICKY SMITH (his South Asian/Indian accent does not warrant a "Smith" last name) became very irritable when I asked for how he obtained my info, etc., but when the term scam came up, the man became irate. After I hung up on him, he proceeded to call my number and leave a "ha" on my voicemail. To say the least, this has been the bizarre call.
