This week I received an email from a sender by the name of Mannix Jones. He gave me all the specks for a Spa web site design, stated what he had ready for use and his budget. He wanted a proposal to complete the job and accepting credit cards was a must .

Proposals are a long involved task and I was slightly suspicious so I requested domain name info. He would not reveal any contact info for domain name purchase. This was a red flag.
I wanted to bill him for a domain through PayPal, but he insisted it go through "Stripe Processing". Another red flag.
I sent him a bill for his domain name through "Square-Up Processing" and he stated he wanted the proposal as well to get the total amount.

      I RECEIVED THIS RESPONSE
thanks for the estimate , i will be giving you my card infos to charge for $8000........$3000 as deposit for my service and the remaining $5000 you will help me send it to the project consultant so you can get the content and logos for my site sending of funds will be after funds is available.

In the email I could see the gray highlighting and
smaller text of line 2 above. It is a copy and paste. This is just like the Scams from Craig's list. Yet another way to steal from people.

It may be that he has stolen credit card info and is using fraudulent tactics to launder the transactions.

I sent him a bill for $350 for the Proposal fee and he tried it again:

      I RECEIVED THIS RESPONSE
350 dollars?... is that what you are charging ??

He is still trying to get me to take his charge and pay someone else from my account. Please!!
I googled mannix jones and found this
