GRANDSON needs Bail money

Elder parents received call from Grandson. Supposedly poor phone connection but kid says he is in jail in NYC. Attended friends funeral, went out drank, got into auto accident, arrested. Tells grandparents he has to get off phone but public defender will call. Person claiming to be public defender calls. Has his con down to science. Tells them grandson will need them to send bail bond to bondsman. He will take care of grandson and get him out. Only - Grandson never in jail. In fact not even in that city or state.
