    • SCAM phone call from NOT the IRS

      I would like to know why the IRS would be calling from Ithaca NY. They where asking for my husband, stating time sensitive problem- no case#, no year given- this call went to voice mail twice. Also the man stating his name was "Allen Parker had a very hard to understand Indian accent However, I am not calling back.

      New York ID #607-216-8884 called my cell phone 0930, 31 Jan saying they wanted to talk to Hiromi Berger. I ask who was calling, they said this is the IRS to talk to Hiromi Berger. I hung up. At 0935 they called again. I said I would call the IRS and hung up. The male person did not speed English very well. My cell # is 210-***-**** and is not listed.
