Contacted via text by Tasha Smith regarding a job. Was advised to add Michelle Burns to yahoo instant messenger for interview. Listened to briefing for State Street Global and completed interview process. Michelle offered me the position and indicated all equipment for the position would be provided by the company. The following day I received a check iao $1,975.87 for the purpose of ordering the equipment thru the company's "authorized vendor". Red flags: The area code for Michelle's phone number is in New York, the fedex package was sent from Tx, however the senders state on the slip reads Jacksonville Fl. Michelle was very specific about depositing the check thru the ATM at the bank but instructions that came with the check from a Paul Padaga state if having a problem depositing thru ATM check can be deposited in lobby. I googled Paul Padaga and discovered that this is a very common scam. According to other posts had I deposited the check I would have been asked to western union the funds to the "vendor" and the check would then be returned for NSF.Show more...
