received a home phone call asking for me by my first name. the person said he was from Microsoft and they were receiving many error messages, meaning someone was trying to install a virus on my computer. wanted me to sit at my computer and start keying something in. I told him I was in the middle of something and couldn't do it then. he called back 5 minutes later; I said I was still busy. I asked for a phone no. and he gave me one, and he asked when a good time to call me back would be. I said 10 the next morning, and he did so, but meanwhile I asked a couple computer experts, and they said it was a scam and not to do anything they said or even call them back. when I answered the phone the next morning, I told him I thought it was a scam and wasn't interested.Show more...
