I purchased over $700 in purses and sandals from Carmen Sol over the summer of 2017. After only the first time wearing, i noticed discoloration on both the bags and the shoes. The stains were especially apparent on the handles and the insoles and on the white bags were a dark blue color. I immediately tried to find any kind of instructions on how to care for my new items, but did not find one on any tags or inside the products. In essence, the newly purchased accessories were unusable and looked like cheap, unattractive resort wear. I was very heartbroken...that is, until I was finally responded to by the President and CEO, Sebastiano Di Bari by email. I had filled out a contact request 3 times at their website, and never received a reply from 2, and an auto-reply from the last one I attempted. I manually copy/pasted the contact email on the site and Mr. Di Bari said he "Never got an email avout the issue, just mine asking how many days" (until I would be contacted). An admittance of receiving my email, and did not reply. As a business owner myself, I let it go and expected to be treated with the respect that a paying customer SHOULD receive. WRONG!!! I had gone into detail 3 times on my issue with the products, yet Mr. Di Bari repeatedly questioned my motives and was not only condescending, but downright rude, disrespectful, and not at all helpful or apologetic. I could not understand why he was unable to read my comments entered at HIS website! In one email he said "we have no actual submission from" you. So, again, I had to take time from my schedule, describing the problem. I sent 6 photos including proof of receipts to him as well. His response? "from what I see the bag is not discoloring, the color of your clothing is transferring on the white bag. As with all white bags, they are delicate and you use a darker color the color may transfer. Please try to clean off with detergent and a wash cloth, that's should help. Our bags are made of jelly and you can wash it with a clear detergent." I replied that this was impossible, since the stains were on the handles, and I was not wearing dark blue gloves on my hands or socks on my feet. I emailed him back 3 more times to get a response of "I did replay and asked you on what to do. You are not responding to your email, just shooting random emails. Did you try to clean the bags like I asked you to?" That was the last correspondence. (misspellings are directly quoted from). I received no refund, no repair option, or any satisfaction from the company and the President.Show more...
