Received an email after I inquire about a car on sale from a Danielle Peterson at [email protected] that says:
The car is located in Boise,ID at DAS ( Dependable Auto Shippers ) headquarters, in the container, sealed and ready for shipping. I would like to use eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection,so we can both be protected and insured. You will have 10 days so you can inspect the car. Once you have inspected the car and decided to keep it, you will confirm your decision to eBay and only then they will re-route the money in to my account, but if by any reason, you won't be satisfied with the car you can return it back for a full refund of your money. I will take care of the shipping, don't worry. You will receive the car with all the necessary papers (clear title, bill of sale, user’s manual, insurance etc). Just get back with your full name and full shipping address and I will get everything started as soon as possible, then eBay will contact you with more further instructions.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for your email.
All documents, including owner's manual, clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the car.
The car will be shipped from ID on my expense and will be delivered directly to your door in 3-5 days. I will pay the shipping fees. The car will be insured at the shipping company for the transport.
I got your info and already sent it to eBay hoping they will contact you soon with all the details. After you will hear from them please email me back because I need to know for sure if this is a done deal!
Hoping to hear from you soon.
When I said I wasn't interested after doing my research and knowing it was a scam, she said very vulgar things to me.
I know it's a scam because ebay has very clear guidelines on how to tell from a legitimate sale via ebay buyer protection.
Swift and just retribution.
