Bulldog Puppy Purchase SCAM Process by Bearden Bulldogs, Eco Pet Relocator, and Dr. Paul Hoffman
I was looking for a miniature bulldog for my kids. The research taken me approximately 3 month before to find an apparently good deal for a miniature bulldog puppy. I found the company called Bearden Bulldogs, but when I checked with them for puppies availability, they mentioned me that they don’t have any puppies available for sale at this time, and referred me to Dr. Paul Hoffman a suppose Veterinary and breeder from North Dakota from they bought the parents of its babies bulldog. (Attachment 1). Also the contact from Bearden Bulldogs mentioned that if contact Dr. Paul Hoffman let him know that Cara, Johnson's wife from Rhodes Island was who has directed me to him.
I contacted this Veterinary using the email provided from Bearden Bulldogs and using as indicated the name of referred person from called Bearden Bulldogs (Attachment #2-A). . He mentioned me that he had some puppies available and that after I made a selection, he would made arrangement with the transporter company to ship the puppy to my address. He explained the process very well with a lot of guarantee. Also he mentioned that the transportation company (Eco Pet Relocator) will be the liaison, they will get the money and he will not receive any pay until I received and accepted the puppy (Attachment #2-B).
After my selection, the transportation company (Eco Pet Relocator) asked for the payment of the puppy (Attachment #3) using “Vanilla Reload Network Card” (Carefully with this service because this doesn’t have any protection for you). They also provide me a tracking number for this transactions and the instruction to proceed with the payment. After I submitted the first payment ($500.00 including the cost of the puppy and shipping) and they cash out, they wrote me again requiring additional funds for a pet insurance for $400.00. They mentioned that they need to postpone the delivery of the pet because I need a pay this 100% refundable and when I received the puppy at home and accepted the refund the money (Attachment #4). In order to expedite the delivery I bought another “Vanilla Reload Network Card” to pay the insurance. After they cash out also this second payment ($400.00), they wrote me again because the insurer required a bigger amount of insurance ($1,200) in order to have a yearly coverage for the fully cost in the market of the Dog ($4,000; that was not the cost I was paying). In that moment I understood that this was SCAM. I called the transportation company (Eco Pet Relocator) and the suppose doctor (Paul Hoffman) to let both know that I’m not interesting anymore in continue with the business reason why I want my money back. The transporter company (Eco Pet Relocator) said that they need 14 days as said in its business site. I mentioned them that it was not reasonable because, I’m cancelling the deal and the 14 days required are to give some time to evaluate the puppy and be agree with in order to complete and close the deal. I continued writing email and calling but they never answer again.
I wrote two both party (Eco Pet Relocator, and Dr. Paul Hoffman) a couple of time to confirm in paper that the business was canceled, and I want my money back. I also let know Eco Pet Relocator that they can use Paypal as the tool for refund the money and I send an invoice to its email using my Paypal account (Attachment #6).
In summary this was a scheme of three parties/names; Bearden Bulldogs, Eco Pet Relocator, and Dr. Paul Hoffman.
I don't recommend them
