I applied for a inside sales position with "Cardinal Health". They call you back and have you answer questions and go over company and what they offer. Have you do a few qualifying Assessments. Offered me the "job", and then the Drama starts. I spoke with Olivia Perry @ [email protected] on hangouts. They have you check in every morning to go over the "training". They send you a check which was for $4700 that you are supposed to put in your account and then cash it minus $100 for you and take to there "Vendor" for custom laptop and software. Asked Olivia why they don't just send the $$$ directly but she never would answer that question, should have guessed at that point. I even asked if this was for real because i have been scammed before ,and she became upset and wondered why i would think that they were not for real, there website does look VERY legit, so i dropped it and trusted her. They DO NOT have a Account with prudential/Bank of America , causes your account to bounce and the bank charges you fee after fee. My bank put a hold on it for 7 days because they felt something may have not been right and never cleared the check. None the less it messed up my account to the amount of almost $600.Took time and energy away from me finding a legit job and caused nothing but drama. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS IT IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put an ad on Craigslist for "Veteran Looking for Work" Mrs. Nolan Hewitt sent me a message via text. She said to contact Scott Kelly via Google Hangout and he would speak with me pertaining a job with Hitachi Data Systems. I contacted Scott, we chatted for an hour on the 12 of November via Google Hangout. He asked me 20 questions, wanted quick responses, I did. Before we started the questions, he needed my name, age, where I lived and few other things which I provided to him. Afterwards, he told me to contact him this morning, 13 November 2015 to proceed in the interview. At 0700 EST, I made contact and we proceeded. Towards the end of the conversation, he asked me to send $350.60 dollars to a lady by the name of Joy Feaster in Chester, S.C. so she can send me a type of software via FedEx with-in 24 hours of receiving the money. After agreeing he asked me how long it would take me to send it, I told him couple hours, he said it needed to be quicker that way the software can be rushed out to me. That got me to thinking, I started looking up Scams and couldn't find anything on Scott Kelly Scams, so I found him on LinkedIn and sent him a e-mail there, and haven't heard anything back. Then on a Scam web page I found out something about Typosquatting, then I sent him another message on Hangout letting him know I needed him to reply back through LinkedIn so I know it's really him. Also told him if I didn't hear back that I'd report him to the real Scott Kelly and the FBI. Well, the messages we've been sending has been going through pretty quickly, just checked two minutes ago, the last message I sent wasn't able to be sent. So I guess I either scared them or they deleted the account.

Sent a check to deposit to order supplies. Check was fraudulent. Was a work from home job scam. Interview by Google hangout. Stated pay was $24./hour. If you deposit check you are supposed to send a copy of deposit slip. Then use your account to "order" equipment from their vendor.

I was contacted on of all things my linked in account. Operatives using a legit Japanese company name AND the name of a past CEO still listed on the site claimed they were hiring account reps with no experience to handle delinquent accounts in the US. You were to contact the creditor on their behalf, after signing an online contract for services. After contact with the " creditor" who just happens to be listed as doing business in Canada, they email you to ask your bank about sending a "cheque", in this case for a whopping 650k. Then you deposit the cheque, send it to them, and then supposedly you would be reimbursed 3% of that 650k amount, plus a salary of 3k a month. Wow! The remitter of the " cheque" is a supposed company in Canada is Oceanic Investments & Assets Management, who, after checking with my bank and other sources does no exist. I was to contact a Patrick Williams. YOU will definitely land in jail after you attempt to cash any checks or anything. They stated agents were needed in the US because it is much cheaper to hire in the US instead of traveling to collect funds.

I was declined a job opportunity through an online Indeed admin position and was referred to contact Thomas Carl, [email protected] who emailed me a week or so later saying that payment of $1960 will be fedex to me today and if I knew about Microsoft application. After reading this review I deleted the email and did not respond back!

I just recently applied on indeed for an office assistant job with insight logistics. They told me they were building a new office in my area and offered me $25 a hour. They then proceeded to email and via text me. The first task was to receive a check which I did from Newton, Ma from a company called Barclays Water management inc. I then took it to the bank. Luckily the bank told me it was fraud before I deposited it. The number they texted me from was 8643011699. I then reported it. Just glad I didn’t give my social and bank Info.

I was contacted by Senoko as well. They asked me a series of questions and then offered me the job at 37 per hour. It seemed way too good to be true so I googled them up and it led me here. They too asked me to go out and purchase a list of items with from one of their discounted retailers. I am so relieved I Googled this BS. I knew it in my gut.

This is very similar to my situation. They said the admin position would be remote with the option to work at the new office once the construction was completed. The pay was going to be $18/hour while training and then be increased to $20/hour after. Of course, no information was provided by them as to the location of the new office nor how long the training would be. They conducted a text interview on Google Hangouts. It all gave me an uneasy feeling by the time I was finished, so I started blocking all of their contact info from my phone, Hangouts, and email accounts.

I am a dyed in the Will skeptic who does my due diligence when looking for a job. Very important: this is a very professional scam. I received a TEXT indicating that SimplyHired (which DOES have jobs listed on the indeed hiring website) had matched some my resume for an at home job working for Seneko Energy located in Singapore. I was told to interview on Google hangouts with a HR rep named Joey Kwek. Our interview was Word for Word matching the previous post. The interview lasted 2 1/2 hours and was very thorough and very convincing. I was NOT asked for any serious personal identification information (Social Security number banking routing number etc. ) The next day I had a series of questions to ask the HR rep and she spent two hours answering them efficiently. I continued to clarify the offer including concerns about identity theft and the scam and was assured that everything was legit. Research: I looked up Senoko energy and verified it was a real business, then I went on LinkedIn and confirmed that the offer/contract they sent me Matched the name of the CEO for Senoko energy. LinkedIn had LEGIT pages on the company Senoko energy, listing 152 employees all located in Singapore. I checked on Joey Kwek, she has a very professional looking LinkedIn page as well and her photo match the photo on the Google Hangouts chat platform. Joey Quicks LinkedIn page looked legit as well, and represented her HR work for several companies. But most importantly it did not list SENEKO energy as one of her jobs. I will be contacting Senoko Energy, Ideed and Simply Hired as well as the Better Business Bureau to alert them to this specific scam.

    Scammed!

    Sep 09, 2019 5:43 PM

I have also been a victim of this scam. I applied for a "Virtual Customer Service Agent" position for Ace Hardware Corporation. The position was immediately offered to me without any form of phone contact which is a big red flag for me nor did they provide a contact number. The position was for 6-7 hours per week at $400 a week. After I received the offer email I responded with my cell phone number and asked that Jorge Hernandez call me before I accept the position. Jorge Hernandez assured me I was qualified for the position and stated the position requires a licensed booking software and printer which would need to be purchased and he wanted me address to send a check for $2950.00 to. Again, I responded and asked for a contact number and Jorge provided me with the number 949-371-2761 which I googled and found many others scammed by this person. DO NOT fall for this trap. I have reported the listing and taken several measures to help see this is stopped.

They sent me a check for 4800 dollars! and when the check came there were 4 things wrong on that check!! smh the interview was by skype too. Also what I have noticed is these folks from across the pond have horrible english so when you do come across one again and you will pay attention to the way they speak.

I applied for an Admin position with Pitech Incorporation on Ziprecuiter and Ashley Baker responded. She asked to have a text interview over google hangouts and told me I would be paid $30 per hour. The new location was still under construction but would be opening within a week or so locally. The pretraining was optional however it became very convenient for her to constantly have a board meeting to discuss something every time my online training was to start. After reading some of the info on this page it validated my initial feelings and I have ended conversations with her. She did mention that the I would be contacted via email as soon as the funds to purchase my custom built working materials have been made available by the account manager within the next 2-3 biz days. No thanks!!

I received a response from a resume hit on Zip recruiter. They claim to be from the global reputable company Rockwell automation. I've looked up the company it is legit. But now I will call them and ask if this recruiter is actually part of their company. It looks like a problem could be ensuing. HR actually has to get your bank information in order to deposit checks into your account from payroll, but trolls are being very tricky looking for people looking to get hired into real positions.

Gregory Scott was contacted by Samantha Tracey of Rockwell Automation Inc. regarding a remote position paying $25/hour. I was told I'd be trained by Michael Pearson and that he would be forwarding a check for $3,998 to cover expenses associated with procuring materials directly from the vendor. I was instructed to deposit the check, and after $1,000 was immediately released, I was then instructed to send a Walmart Moneygram to him in the amount of $970 to obtain partial materials from their vendor. Needless to say, my account is now over drafted and the check was returned for insufficient funds.

I just got hit from "Dante Cantel" asked me to repair a large number of computers for him in response to my repair service advertisement. I am a criminal defense paralegal quite savvy to these schemes. I plan on playing along with him in order to get physical evidence (the bogus checks and the emails to corroborate his intent). Hopefully, it is the same guy using the name, but I doubt it. I will follow up as this progresses.

Seriously people, what legitimate, respectable company makes you pay before you start working there? NONE. What legitimate, respectable company asks for bank info and other seriously personal information regarding your identification? NONE. Furthermore, what legitimate, respectable company only uses online messengers or apps to communicate and hold "interviews"? NONE. And why would you ever cash a check from someone you don't know in order to pay for supplies for a company or send that money to them and/or other people?! Seriously you people are so gullible, desperate or just naturally stupid, you shouldn't have access to the Internet. Start using some common sense, although I'm beginning to realize it's not so common these days. Natural selection at its finest here. Sorry, not sorry.

Total Scam! They send a check with your name on it but the check is registered to someone else. When you deposit it, the issuing bank is notified of the fraud and you are blamed. Not sure how they get money from you as I wasn't dumb enough to deposit such a huge check in my account from people who never even wanted to have a conversation or conduct a proper interview. The bank they used wouldn't even give me details the company the check was from, the branch it was issued by...they wouldn't even give me the check back! The indicates MAJOR FRAUD that the bank doesn't want getting out to the general public. AVOID: Dan Tanner, Lisa Kiyomi, Sharon James, Stonecrest Capital, Fellex Medcare Equipments Ltd, www.fellexmed.com and www.stonecrestcapitalinc.com.

I actually did an online interview but when they asked some of the questions. I gave them my name and address and phone number but these are things I had on monster. They said i was hired after the "interview" but when they were telling me they were going to send me a check to start me up and i was to buy the equipment with the money I got a little suspicious and started asking questions. How do I know this is a legit business as the webisite was bare-bones? and he started quoting bible scriptures and telling me to trust in god because he's giving me an opportunity to help my family... So I basically figured it was a waste of my 45 mins. So... I wasn't going to deposit anything they sent... BUt he blocked me on "hangout" because that's wehre he asked me to talk to him. It sucks that they take advantage of people that are looking for jobs.... simply dispicable.
