Seller listed microphone on Facebook Marketplace. Did not want to go through Paypal as "Pay for an item or service". Claimed he was in a jamb and needed money immediately. Was willing to ship it overnight at half price and take balance payment upon receipt. Kept giving excuses why he needed more money up front. Claims he was at FedEx shipping it and received a better offer. Won't return payments already sent.

I contacted her off Facebook marketplace inquiring about the vehicle she had listed as for sale. I explained to her that i had 6 kids and my hubby is sick in the hospital suffering from a massive stroke and was in need of a vehicle to get us from GA to CA she assured me the vehicle in question which was a 05 Nissan Quest had no discrepancies but it needed a radiator. I took her word for it and went and purchased the vehicle drive it back it w was real shaky so i contacted a local mechanic and he said there was a failed engine and transmission. I contacted her and she blocked me and made her page private. This was a complete scam. I also know it was a scam because she told me her hubby was a mechanic and worked on cars but couldn't fix this car because of a recent surgery. Please beware of this lady She is a big scammer!

I was contacted by text for my facebook marketplace listing of a sofa for $500. The offer was for full price plus additional money for shipping as the person lives out of town. He said he would send me a check, I could cash it and pay the shipping company from the additional funds he included. I stupidly gave my address. II received the check for $1890.000 and called the bank listed for verification. They could not find the check or account and recommended I go my bank so the check could be seen. I did so and the teller knew immediately that it was fraudulent. First clue was the use of 7 different fonts. I also showed her the text stream. She advised me to text the man that the bank kept the check as it was no good and the account was no good. She also advised stately very clearly that I was moving out of state today and the deal was off. I did so and blocked his number.

On 07/19/19 I saw a house for rent in FB Market Place and contacted the number! The individual posed as the owner of the property and provider me with a self guided tour. On 07/20/19 he wa texting me telling me I was approved to rent and when could I pay the $3000. I told him that if I rented the place I would need to split the deposit in three payments and pay $2000/month the first three months. He agreed and also advised I couldn’t pay anything until I got paid on 08/01/19. He agreed. We got paid on 07/30 and i made the deposit if $2000 in cash in his Chase business account on 07/31/19. No keys to property was issued by imposter. I called the real leasing company to advise them of the imposter and let him know that I knew he was a fake!

Bough a seemingly new washer and dryer. Couldn’t install right away. When installed not functional. Had tech out said washers parts were replaced with bad parts-no fixing. Dryer took $300 in parts to perhaps function.

YEP! "Bought" my mom's vintage wedding dress... I've filed a police report in NH against "them". I would suggest doing the same.
