I tried to download a video of a local gig I saw yesterday and was told to register for free to view the clip. I was asked for my card information but told categorically that NO money would be taken. The next screen coolly informed me that I was signing up for a free 5-day trial and that I would automatically be billed £11.95 in 5 days' time and every month thereafter. I DID NOT press Continue, but there was no way to go back and delete my card information. Nonetheless, without my confirmation, nothing should have happened, yet when I phoned my bank they informed me FunPlunge had already debited 1p from my account. I just had a call back from the disputes department at my bank to stop any further payment to this disgusting company. DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE.

Looking to buy a forklift service manual, FunPlunge's website was listed as a source on Google. I went to their website, and, subscribed to their "free" 5 day trial for new members. When I found out that they did not have service manuals for sale, I tried to cancel the "free" subscription, but, there was no way to do it then. Today, I received a notice stating that, unless I cancelled the "free" subscription, I would automatically be enrolled in their "premium" subscription. Unfortunately, to cancel via email, I would incur a "convenience fee" which could be avoided by calling their phone number to cancel, which I did, for 5 times without being able to connect (line would drop-off). I was successful the last 6th time. What a hassle !!! Lesson learned: Avoid at all costs!!!
