I saw an ad on Instagram for a wig shop online, apparently located somewhere in Michigan. Sure it looked a little sketchy, and the sale they were having was any wig lovers dream come true. It was their 7th anniversary and in return they were selling $200+ wigs for 90% off. They also had this big banner at the top of the screen saying it, and a huge countdown saying the sale was only lasting 1 day, you couldn’t miss it. So they were only about $20 each. So I didn’t see the harm in possibly losing $40 for a couple of them. And tbh when I really want something I become a little blind, desperate, and naive to things like this. But anyway, I order them, it goes through PayPal, and I quickly notice their name on PayPal is all in Asian lettering. But I just as quickly brushed it off and moved along. Come about 3 days later I look up when to expect it to ship out. It says within 2-3 business days. So I give it til the next week, and I send them an email just explaining and asking for some help. All the meanwhile explaining the situation to my mom, and having her tell me it’s most likely a scam and I should get in touch with PayPal and file a dispute. A couple days later I emailed the wig company again asking for my order to be canceled, in which they never responded to that either. After filing a dispute with PayPal, and PayPal got in touch with them all of a sudden they added a tracking number to the details. I click on the tracking number which leads me to usps website and stating that they are still awaiting the package. And after a week of them still waiting for it, I updated PayPal with that information also. As of right now I’m still waiting for a refund or any kind of response from the wig shop. And not to mention that their huge 1 day countdown 7th anniversary sale banner is still up and running strong. Just so ridiculous and sad, I’m embarrassed I fell for it and hopefully most people that come by them are a lot smarter than I am. But I figured I’d throw this warning out there for obvious reasons and because I also didn’t see anything about them online really. So remember LACEHAIR.SHOP is a scam! They’ll take yo money, and run!
