Amintore Confalonieri was outed as a liar in 2016 for declaring that Lebain & Co was a million dollar consulting company when in reality it was a no-income shelf corporation he formed online. Since then he’s persistently scammed people and have unceasingly attacked those who dare to expose him as a fraud.
When in doubt of hiring suspicious applicants like Confalonieri my advice is that you complete a thorough background check including foreign countries. It’s worth the effort and money.
Think about how much you can save now vs. hiring such person and he then destroys your company from the inside because of his lack of experience and misconduct.

Found an engineering job on LinkedIn from a trustworthy company. I liked the recruiter’s post and asked a question about the exact location of the job. Within a few minutes I received an invitation to connect from Amintore Confalonieri. He asked me to take the conversation to WhatsApp. Claimed he was helping the recruiter at the company I wanted to work for with prescreening because she had 100s of applications. Asked me to email him my resume in word format and told me there was going to be a fee to apply for the job in order to expedite the application.
It made no sense to me that a notorious company was using WhatsApp to do prescreening and charging candidates to expedite applications so I checked with the recruiter and as I suspected Confalonieri was trying to scam me because she didn’t know him.
On a daily basis he reposts 10+ jobs from legitimate companies. I reported him to LinkedIn.

I'm with a non-profit organization in Dallas, TX. Someone with the name Amintore Confalonieri is claiming to be working for us as a consultant but we don’t have anyone here with that name. We are a small office so we'd know for sure if that was the case ;-)
We’ve received several calls about this person so I google his name and I found scam guard.
Thank you for warning others about this scam. We are taking the necessary steps to stop this scammer from using our name.

      To Amintore Confalonieri
I’ll park your scam bits aside because those require its own post. But allow me to go over your so-called experience here to make my point.
As per your LinkedIn profile you are the former founder and principal consultant of an American company based in New York called Lebain & Co. You claim to have operated such company in the U.S. from 2015 to 2017 where you were "Responsible to lead consulting in the areas of procurement, supply chain, private equity and venture capital."
My question to you is: How could you do all this without having a green card, a social security number, an ITIN or at least a work permit?.
The USCIS can be reached at: 1-888-464-4218
They can confirm your ineligibility to work in the United States because you have no work authorization. In reality you have never resided in U.S. territory. Though you have visited in the past with a now-revoked tourist visa, you never stayed for longer than 7 days at a time and you have never opened a business here.
The Internal revenue Service (IRS) can be reached at: 1-800-829-4933
They can confirm that Lebain & Co was incorporated in 2015 as an LLC in the State of New York by a now defunct online broker however it never had a brick & mortar address in the "Greater New York area” as per your LinkedIn . The same LLC was dissolved by you 4 1/2 months after incorporation and there was no final tax return filed. The IRS can also confirm that you could not possibly had any "consulting engagements in the areas of procurement, supply chain, private equity and venture capital" because as stated, such company had no real operations and nobody has ever reported doing business with you or Lebain & Co in the U.S.

Next as per your LinkedIn profile you worked at ZTE Corporation in Venezuela, Panama, Chile and Colombia from 2007 to 2013.
      You "Developed and implemented the Vendor Management program obtaining supplier’s grow by 400% in 2008 | 700% in 2009 | 1.300% in 2011 | 2.000% in 2012."
      You also "Increased the Managed Spend from US$ 1,2mm in 2007 to US$ 40mm in 2008 | US$ 95mm in 2009 | US$ 145mm in 2010 | US$ 860mm in 2012."
ZTE Human Resources Department in Caracas can be reached at: +58-212-7932229
They have confirmed that you worked for ZTE only in Caracas (Venezuela) but not during the dates you have implied. Also after checking internally, they’ve certified that both statements as indicated above are 100% fabricated by you and the rest has been embellished.

These are just two of your lies for illustration purposes. Everything in your background is fake sir.
I advise you to stop wasting everyone’s time with your tales and exaggerations.
My name is Leonardo Rojas and I’m a Private Investigator. I can be reached at [email protected]

P.S. Since you constantly change or update your information around on social media, I’m pasting below the information noted on your LinkedIn profile as of 7/8/2018

Hi Vladimir. If you read posts about Confalonieri from the last 10 years you will see that he misleads people by claiming to work for companies like Bain & Co, 54 Ventures, GP Investments, Dell, Lexington and many more. He insists he is or was an executive at these companies or that these companies acquired his own startups. In the real world he has never worked for them, he has never founded a business and he is clueless and ignorant about the investment world or about growing a company. I congratulate you for doing your research about Muchachomalo and not letting him con you. I run a whatsapp group with many victims of Confalonieri. Send me a message if you wish to join in. Take care

This is so discouraging @linkedin should be accountable for allowing users to make such changes. This is not a small detail he forgot to add pretty much he is deleting a company he supposedly work for and adding a different one with a different title during the same period of time

I'm reposting here to reach as many people as possible. I was pointed to this site from the other article in Prensa Bolivariana. I attest everything said about Amintore Confalonieri the mastermind behind amintoreoficial.com is the truth. Confalonieri is a compulsive liar driven by greed. He calls himself a founder of a company named MUCHACHOMALO which is a small underwear brand located in Amsterdam but THAT'S A LIE. MUCHACHOMALO offers agent reseller status online to anyone who wants to sell their underwear, just like Avon or Mary Kay but they don’t have an executive and specially not a founder named Amintore Confalonieri. They don’t even have a record of him ever being a reseller. When Amintore Confalonieri contacted me about an investment he claimed he was the FOUNDER and COO of MUCHACHOMALO for Latin America. He told me he grew that brand from 0 to 50 million USD in sales in 5 years. When I contacted the real company they confirmed as stated above that this was all a fabrication. I lost around $1000 USD in due-diligence and background checks. It's SO EASY for a crook to change his background on Linkedin without the company raising any red flags. Confalonieri has changed his Linkedin profile at least 10 times in the past couple of years and he keeps begging for investments based on his https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/cde37490cae089502c6c4bdd49454d15d27b5b170f2f12ac8745e843145aa01a.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/396a342b822a75b0965260bc2e39b94c5c5ce4f068c74b42aa6030222c33ea09.png fictitious background.

Website scam alert on Amintore Confalonieri His new scamming tool: www.amintoreoficial.com The person managing this site is the scammer himself Amintore Confalonieri . He created his own website on 5/24/2018 as a supplementary tool for his cons and as an attempt to boost his credibility in the business world. This is the same guy from; www.twitter.com/amintoreoficial www.twitter.com/mrboova www.linkedin.com/in/amintoreconfalonieri The website was registered anonymously in GoDaddy.com and is using a domain by proxy registration to mask his real location.

Liar Liar Pants on Fire!. Confalonieri told one of my H.R. consultants he was filling in for the head of procurement at Zara the Spanish retailer. We reached out to Zara corporate and their local business units as part of a reference check and no one knew Amintore Confalonieri or his Lebain company. It’s unbelievable how sites like LinkedIn or Twitter allow these cons to go on

7.12.2018 Amintore Confalonieri removed any trace related to venture capital, investment baking, recruiting or entrepreneurship from his LinkedIn and he left a basic profile about procurement. Good job people!! but the question remains..why is LinkedIn allowing him to make such changes without questioning his legitimacy?. I can't get an answer on that

Dude posts a recruitment update on his LinkedIn (link below) claiming he has (quote) "a procurement & supply chain candidate with a little over 10 years of experience in various industries" and (quote) "If someone needs a similar profile in Mexico please let me know". I asked him for the candidate's profile because I was filling a similar vacancy and he responds (quote) "I'm sorry but that candidate has already found a good job thanks to my powerful networking however I'm a procurement executive with more than 30 years of experience in various industries. I'm working temporarily as a recruiter but I want to make my next career move. Here is my Resume for your review". I’m laughing at some of the comments. I’m glad people use humor to cope with con-artists. Guys I was a victim of Amintore C. and Lebain too and what helped me get through was putting myself in the scammer’s shoes. It’s a sad life and they deserve every bit of it. Imagine being Amintore Confalonieri. Imagine being 50 years old and unemployed with no money. Imagine having to wake up every morning to hustle for a job. Pretend to be someone you are not all day long. Imagine having to invent that you are successful so you can actually con others to survive. Imagine being a stooge that lives in a motel in a foreign country not knowing if you are going to eat next when the money you have stolen from your victims runs out. Imagine having thousands of followers online but your hundreds of daily posts on your multiple profiles have no likes and no interactions because 95% of your followers know who you are and what you really do and you are actually their laughing stock. Imagine being turned down for one job after the other because of your lack of experience and your criminal record. That’s the life of a scammer like Amintore C. Now picture how much hatred he must have towards successful people and how much he might actually hate himself. It does hurt a lot when you get ripped off by one of these scammers but at least you should have some comfort knowing that in the case of Amintore C. he is a f---d up nobody with no future.

I’m a PI with experience chasing down all kind of scammers and this is my assessment of Lebain & co. It's not a real business. Amintore Confalonieri @amintoreoficial is a social media beggar and an obsessive liar suffering from severe megalomania. His background, his credentials and his upbringing are fake or totally exaggerated. It doesn’t matter if he knows you or not. Once he targets you online he will unceasingly try to plug himself into your life without any regard or respect. He will tear you apart when things don’t go his way. He’s a walking liability in deep debt and he's openly taken a lot of money from unknowing victims to pay for his obsession of being an Instagram star @mrboova Anyone wanting to know more about Lebain & co or Amintore Confalonieri can contact me. Amintore Confalonieri from Lebain and company?. F***g wasted time and money!!. Didn’t have time to check his references and I hired him to do a business plan for my startup to present to potential investors. But when he delivered his business plan OMG OMG OMG it has no value!. Ludicrous!. My partner asked me where is the camera? because this didn’t just happened to us. This ‘’consultant’’ Confalonieri or whatever his real name is redefines the meaning of copy & paste. The ''executive business plan'' pacakage we purchased from him for $200 is hopeless. With little effort anyone can find the exact same text online. He plagiarizes other people’s work adds his letterhead and your company name to it and presto!. His pre & post consultations are the worst I've seen in my career. We didn’t understand a word of what he was saying because of his thick accent and poor English so a Spanish-speaking member of my team had to translate every word he said and then he was the one getting frustrated with us!. Supposedly he is a top executive at Grupo Carso in Mexico and he owns a consulting company but I don’t believe any of it because he failed to show me and to show my team that he even understands basic business concepts. IDK what or who he is but he is not a business consultant!. If you are reading this Amnitore Confalonieri I want my money back!

Owner of this fake company Amintore Confalonieri is a goblin that exists only on social media. My company sent him a cease and desist letter because he was irritating and harassing our employees. We had never done business with him or with his “company” but he was claiming to 3rd parties that he was a consultant working with us. He sent us back a fake attorney letter stating he was suing for $1 million in a Mexican court. May 10, 2018 2:28 PM

A word of caution to this tale. If you ever gave anyone from Lebain & Co or Amintore Confalonieri any personal information you should double check your credit report. I applied for a job with Lebain & Co last year thinking they were Bain & Co and I filled out a standard job application. I then realized that it was a fraudulent company but since then strange things are popping up on my credit report like inquiries to obtain credit cards or cell phones. I don’t think Confalonieri does that because he is overseas but I’m pretty sure he is selling applicant’s information to others. Also be careful with this scammer turning the tables on you. I recently had a heated exchange online with Confalonieri and on the same day my company was approached by an anonymous source stating that I was a sociopath. On the same exact day Confalonieri posted on his @mrboova profile something about a ‘sociopath’ that was ‘harassing him’. I came clean with my management about what was going on and they understood the situation. Anticipate he is going to attack your reputation. Having a plan is the best thing to do. I hope my experience is of service to everyone.

Don't blame yourself. I was also a victim of this con. It’s not your fault!. Lebain & co is not real, it never was. There is no such company. It’s only in paper. Battery Ventures is real but the scammer Amintore Confalonieri never worked for them. Amintore is a sociopath with a lack of conscience. If he targeted you on social media it’s because you were worth it. He wanted something from you. If he took your money too bad, but imagine how sad his life is. You’ll learn from this and move on. You'll earn that money back. He won’t. If he trashes you on social media so what? ignore him. Don't engage. Block him, no one is falling for his cons anymore. But please don’t blame yourselves. Life is full of people like Confalonieri.

I’ve dealt with this scammer before. It's a one-man show, not a company. I spent $200 on an online consultation with Amintore Confalonieri that was a disaster. Instead of giving my company thoughts for obtaining VC funding he kept offering his services as COO. Basically he was begging me for a job. Anything he discussed was stuff widely available online. Like he reads the industry news every day and then he uses that information to sound smart but once you start drilling him down with specifics he can’t keep up. I lost the $200 who cares but I learned the valuable lesson of not trusting everything you see online. If you look closer this guy has thousands of followers on his twitter account @amintoreoficial and on Linkedin but barely no one ever interacts with him. This is the information era. Folks are clever and it doesn’t take a lot to realize that Confalonieri is not what he claims to be. He is also distancing himself from the Lebain & Co name and he's using his online involvement with an authentic company named GuidePoint. All this is surgically done by Confalonieri in order to boost his credibility. I’m shocked to find out that he also has the @mrboova alias

I had several calls with Mr. Valentino from Lebain & Co Colombia to help me get funding for my business. He promised to invest his own money or at least to have one of his affiliated partners invest on me. He told me that it would take about 30 to 45 days before I receive the funds but the first step was for me to pay for some fees around $500 for due diligence. I followed the instructions and I wired the money to someone named Amintore Confalonieri. After waiting patiently for three months my business partner and I decided to give Valentino a call to see if he had any new updates since the last time we spoke. He kept dodging the calls and he didn’t respond to our emails. We finally spoke with Mr. Confalonieri on March 9 and he told us that regrettably no one was interested in investing on our company and that they were keeping the $500 because it was used for paperwork. When pressured by my partner he was suddenly very hostile and told us that if we keep hassling him he would blacklist us so we wouldn’t get funding anywhere. He also denoted that he had thousands of social media followers and that he could seriously damage us if we kept it up. Before I wired the money to Lebain Valentino was always very nice and very attentive to my needs. He was always there to answer any questions that I had and he responded to my emails in a matter of minutes. After I sent the money, he was a totally different person. I don’t know how this Confalonieri person fits on their hierarchy but he is a very nasty man. Without a doubt they are a scam. I am so disgusted with this company ripping honest people off. I truly hope they have a special section in hell for all these con artists.

My friend and I were duped by the owner of Lebain Co Confalonieri. I lost the equivalent to $2000 on a fraudulent transaction with a company that he didn't have the right to represent. I corroborate his company is a ruse with the intent of deceiving others. Lebain Co never had a website but the owner is on twitter #MrBooba operating under the name Boova Valentino. Unfortunately with ghost scammers like this Confalonieri oddball the only thing one can do is report them relentlessly to the sites where they are promoting their deception. Last December he found me on Medium and couple of other sites and reached out to me portraying himself as the CEO of Lebain & Co a multi-million-dollar investment company. It took me 10 minutes to realize I was being scammed. He really is determined I give him that but he falls short in execution. Too many holes in his narrative. What you all need to do is have some fun with these scammers if you have some extra time. Make them waste their time the same way they are wasting yours. This is part of the email I sent him when he kept coming back at me with all kind of BS after I had already researched him online and made myself clear to him that I knew he was trying to con me: “Dear Mr. Confalonieri thank you for reaching out for the 15th time. Persistence is a virtue. So let me get this straight: You live in Venezuela, you work at an office in Mexico and you double as a photographer in New York. I always wanted to know more about teleportation. Do you get a lot of teleport miles in your current position?. Also while data-mining your data from the inconsistent information you have provided to others I now realize your company Lebain & Co was acquired by Bain & Co on 2017, by Samsung on the same year and recently by Guidepoint. I’m not confused at all. I’m very interested to know how you accomplished that my friend. That’s what I call a triple whammy!. In regards to what you told me about your brilliant career as a business writer and author with @Inc, @startupsco, @HuffPost and @AlleyWatch I’m sorry but it seems like they have all taken down your articles because I can’t find anything with your name on any of these sites. I did find the junk you wrote on your own blog but nothing on the mainstream sites you mentioned. That’s just terrible!. I’m sure the editors are just jealous or they feel intimated by you. Finally I see you worked in the procurement field in Venezuela for a short period of time but since you pointed out to me that you have 20+ years of experience in venture capital around the world I was wondering if that’s something that you just decided to do one day. Like you woke up in the morning and said to yourself in the mirror: Today I’m going to have 20 years of experience in venture capital!. I always like to explore the effect of positive affirmation, visualization and spell-casting but this is really a big achievement my man. You must be from the house of Gryffindor. Perhaps you can teach me one day.” I never got a reply back from Lebain & Co or Confalonieri but like many others have reported a few of my online connections received anonymous negative tips about me. And this all happened on the exact same day I had sent Confalonieri this email exposing his BS. I have a simple advice for anyone researching this man: Block & Run.

Thank you for this information Silvia Chamorro. I noticed that as well. He changes company names, titles and dates of employment very often. I don't get why LinkedIn overlooks this type of member behavior. Until recently he was working as Principal and CEO of Lebain & Co and then suddenly he changed the dates of employment like he left Lebain on Feb 2017. I also checked with the Guiedpoint office in Mexico just like you did and it's true there is no one with his name in their team. They told me he could be listed as a consultant on their online consulting website but that's something anyone can do it does not mean that he is an executive with Guidepoint or that Lebain & Co is even related to Guidepoint. I didn't know the MrBoova bit. Putting it mildly it's ridiculous.

Confalonieri is no longer using the fake Lebain&Co name but now he states to be a shareholder of another company "GUIDEPOINT". On his email broadcast yesterday he said he is “working at Guidepoint’s Mexico office after his company Lebain & Co merged with Guidepoint” and he is allegedly "helping startups with venture capital funding” and "managing complex venture capital deals for Guidepoint”. He is not. This is all fiction. If you get an email or LinkedIn or Twitter invitation from him asking you to apply for a job or to submit your startup idea it’s fake. You should research his MRBOOVA aliases on instagram and twitter because there he is a “photographer in New York City”. Also fake! And on his dating profile on POF he is supposed to be the CEO of Samsung Colombia!. He is a complete joke! He is completely delusional and he is desperate. Do not believe a word this man tells you.

I answered to a job ad posted at opcionempleo.co.cr from Lebain&Co a company in United Sates looking for consultants. The owner Amintore responded and we had an interview online. He told me his investment firm was acquired by Samsung Latin America and he was looking to expand his consulting workforce for startups in Costa Rica Mexico and Colombia. He asked me to send $250 to his bank account for a starter kit. Here I am several months later and he blocked me off of his phone whatsapp and everywhere else. This is fraud and I intend to press charges against this company and the owner.

Last name used are Confal****** and Valent*** (redacted for privacy). My experience talking to this guy is that he is a scam. One day he was in New York following day he was in South America and next day in Singapore. He doesn't remember his own lies. Also he claims to have invested over 100 million but he can't produce the name of a single investment "for security reasons"
