I signed up for the Business Accelerator Course by London Real Brian Rose.
It cost $2999 and promised to teach me the latest advanced marketing social Media techniques.
The core promise of the course was that we would be surrounded by “experts” and be personally mentored by him.
The core promise also stated we would do this whole process in 8 weeks and have a revenue generating business by the end of it.
I was led to believe that I was buying a course on legitimate internet marketing. Instead what was delivered was a disjointed vague over view of how to spam your friends family and personal contacts with almost zero coaching or mentoring. To completely ignore GDPR Laws and risk damaging your personal and professional reputation.
When I asked for my money back I was told I had to complete their “accountability doc” 100% before they would even consider giving me a refund. They then locked me out and denied access to the doc making it impossible for me to comply with their policy. Although I could not carry out every task they demanded because it had already created some negative problems with my personal contacts. And if I continued would cause more damage to my reputation and possibly get me into legal trouble.
I provided an evidence that covers all those points and more and provides all the evidence of what appears to be fraudulent. It uses screenshots and links to video that I captured from the course as undeniable evidence.
I have spoken since to many vulnerable people on the course who cannot afford to lose that kind of money and am compiling a more extensive doc with interviews to take to trading standards in the hope that we can stop him doing this to more people.
I am writing this in order to recover the money that he basically stole from me through fraudulent claims and practices.
I want my money back as stated by Brian Rose, that if I am not satisfied I can have my money back no questions asked
Brian Rose, Lisa May
Brian Rose is the You Tube star of ‘London Real’ a online show that interviews the rich, famous and successful all around the world. Prior to his You Tube success Brian was a Banker in London and New York and according to his own admission on his You Tube channel he left New York because of drug problems. However he is now a health conscious, action man making the world a better place by sharing his experiences with his followers.
He has a massive online following and gets to interview everyone from Fatboy Slim to Simon Sinek, his You Tube videos are interesting and informative and it was off the back of this reputation I decided to explore learning more from him directly. I signed up to a free webinar that included Brian Rose talking to 20 – 40 people live on a Zoom video call and explaining how he would teach us directly the secrets to his success and how to build an online business.
Brian spent nearly 2.5 hrs on the Zoom video call encouraging people to sign up to his $2999 - 8 week business accelerator course.
Those on the call naturally had questions and concerns about the cost and Brian would often say what have you to lose, I offer a 100% money back guarantee no questions asked. Pull the trigger, he would say and then when someone did he would have someone in his office bang the Gong ! He would say I will be with you every step of the way, no man left behind ! He promises on the call that he takes a small group of people to turn their passion into a business. He states that he can guarantee a 96% success rate why … because that’s the number of his students who complete the course and go on to have successful businesses. That claim is false as you will see later in this document.
He promises you will be surrounded by experts “and wouldn’t be allowed to fail” the reality of the course is the “team leaders” are people who previously have completed the course and have been recruited to teach new members the course and provide accountability. Some of them have very little knowledge of internet marketing, actual business experience and online businesses.
Brian Rose never appeared once in the Facebook group during the whole 8 weeks, to make comments, suggestions or give feedback. This was left to the team leaders, who did their best but I did not sign up to be ‘taught’ by someone who had done the course prior to me.
There were two calls a week supposedly for coaching, we had to attend on a ZOOM conference call with everyone that was on the course. Brian Rose only attended the Zoom call on the Tuesday however with 180 people on the call it was impossible to get any coaching as promised in the sales video above.
The example below is one of those calls towards the end of the course where it was finally revealed what his marketing coaching consists of.
We thought we had bought a course teaching us internet marketing through social media. However we discovered that the whole course revolves around spamming your personal contacts – your friends family your facebook friends, linkedin contacts and any people who’s email you had.
To invite them to a free webinar where you sell them your “amazing product” that he taught you how to create on the previous modules. (more about that product to follow)
Not only did this not work it is actually against the EU GDPR Laws. In the spirit of testing it out some of us reluctantly contacted personal contacts individually. Team members invited 1200 friends from their face book page and had up to 20 conversations inviting people from messenger.
The video link that follows also shows one of the students tell Brian Rose he had invited 1800 contacts just got 7 turn up no sales. But Brian says we aren’t going in hard enough and should get banned by Facebook. Bad advice if you are trying to develop an internet marketing business.
Get banned by Facebook and spam your personal contacts and break GDPR laws. This part starts around 2 mins 27 secs.
Results and comments from other members of the course
* I have at least 10 other videos of similar reviews that should you wish to see I can share of people who are unhappy with the course.
“The Amazing life changing product”
The core promise of the course was to develop online courses and sell your own knowledge using social media marketing.
The same techniques and strategies he uses create his 6 figure company. Although he has a professional studio for his YouTube channel with interviews with famous guests.
His complete training and advice for creating a product is to just “pull out your phone and start talking.” No scripting or researching your course just do it he says. “Don’t worry about lighting or how it looks just do it”. You are then supposed to do it five more times. And this supposedly creates six modules which you can release one a week for six weeks. He then advises you to sell the product for $27.
He tells you how to hype it and claim that this product will change the lives of those that buy it. When we contacted the team leaders about this to voice our concerns we were told me stop being negative. Anyone who complained in the team Facebook chat, got booted out of the chat and told they would have to finish the course without the support of the group. This happened to two members of my team during the course.
Video below shows an example of the module, each module is a two minute story and a single action. In the two module examples Brian gives his actions in # 1 to meditate. In # 2 He tells us to write three affirmations from our goals and say them out loudly. Two modules from your six module course! This link shows you him telling you to do it. $27 price comes in around 5 min 20 secs,
In the sales pitch I was promised a “high performance Website”
We were told to use squarespace.com as the platform for the website. Squarespace is a template based website builder and while it should be simple to use a lot of people on the course had technical issues with it. We had to help each other find answers to what should be simple tasks but took hours because there was little guidance from leader and because the group was so large.
A video tutorial was posted on the London Real website that was meant to show us how to create the website however it was out of date since it had been recorded months ago and SquareSpace had since updated their platform.
Some of the leaders when approached told us that we should look on YouTube for the answers.
SquareSpace was not only a great choice of platform as it was unable to sell digital products other than PDFs.
Our “course” was supposedly based on videos but it couldn’t deliver automated videos. Some people on the course were told by the team leaders just send them by hand and find a better platform when the course finishes. The time frame and pressure put on us to complete each module on time was only multiplied because these glaring faults inconsistencies and lack of information on the course.
“Kick start your social media”
This part of the course is what a lot of us joined up for. To learn specific strategies to use social media for marketing. Again this module was totally disappointing.
We got told to create new accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and post three pieces of content on them. In his video he then told us told to use automatic bot’s to get followers for Instagram and Twitter ( Refolow & Robolike).
Brian Rose actually makes comment in the video module that we might get banned because as it is against some of the Terms of Conditions of both Twitter and Instagram. I did not sign up to these programs as I know how risky it can be if you get banned by Instagram it can be very difficult to get your account re-opened. ( arrow pointing to action items re this. )
Again not useful information and business bad practice.
The Accountability Doc
A lot of people on the course felt the coaching calls on the Sunday were a complete waste of time. The group leaders spent a lot of time calling those that were lagging behind, the “clowns” and those that were up to date with completing their modules “stars”.
I assume the idea was to keep everyone turning the cells in the accountability doc green so they could claim 96% of their students complete the course. However we found out later those that were not completing the tasks and falling behind showing red cells were hidden and removed to give the impression everyone was doing well.
This hour call was frustrating because it had no value as a learning or coaching call. All the modules were released on the Friday and we had to the end of the following Friday midnight to complete them.
This had been frantic week because we were asked to complete three webinars and people were frantically trying to get people to come on to them. And most if not all were struggling. So one of the team leaders told us we must attend three of our fellow student’s webinars so they could meet their quota.
No one had any hardly time to look at the final module which was a complete waste of time never mind do the work and upload it.
And with no warning it was removed on the Monday evening as they say that is the official end of the course. Normally we would have until midnight the following Friday to complete tasks. This of course meant that practically no one would qualify for their “good will guarantee” as according to them show 100% in the accountability doc. Because they would not get the chance to do the tasks and upload them. See the “Goodwill Guarantee form” below. Even so you had to keep an eye on the doc as they changed it show you hadn’t attended all the calls when you had done so. And constantly had to hound your team leader to amend it.
Another condition of terms within his course are “you must attend all LIVE calls’ on a Tuesday and Sunday night, however on one occasion early on in the course Brian himself did not attend and had one of his past course attendees take the course. I joined this course on the promise he would be mentoring me and with the security of knowing if the course was not to my satisfaction I could get a 100% refund. Yet he does not even attend all the live calls himself.
I want to make other people aware of what they are getting into if they pay for his course.
Miss represented and for that reason miss lead. Over hyped and well under delivered. Asking to do unethical things and to break GDPR laws.Show more...
To refund my money and stop his courses
They sell you a course with promess of making money but it’s a scam + they guarantee a 100% refund policy but they totally ignore you .Show more...
