I'm with a company called SLAC student loan assistance center that charged me a fee of $700.00 and make payments of $39.00 a month. I reported to SLAC that I have been getting statements from the Federal loan Education Department because they have not been getting paid. They told me to ignore them because you haven't paid the whole amount of your loan. I called the Department of Education and they said I was delinquent of payments from last year into this year.

They called me about my student loan, they had all my loan Info and I don't know how. They told me that I was eligible for the Obama loan forgiveness. I had my doubts but they have all these information about me so I believed them. I checked them out on the internet but their website looked legit. He told me that for the process I need to pay 700 dollars. And only 39 a month towards my loan which i will end up paying only half of what I owe. I fell for it but one day I lost my credit card and had to change it. I called them to give them my new card number but they never pick up, they call you but you cannot call them. So I went online to see how I can contact them because I did not want to miss a payment but I could not. When the payment did not went through they called but by this time I have contacted the department of education to make sure my loan was getting paid and they said no. I knew then that they are fake. I went on there website and read the fine print"SLAC is a for-profit business that for a fee assists in compiling, preparing and processing paperwork for people seeking consolidation, restructuring and/or forgiveness of their federal student loans through the U.S. Department of Education’s (“DOE”) programs. · SLAC is not affiliated with and has no special relationship with the DOE or any other academic or governmental entity. · This site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the DOE, and the content or any information posted on this site is not endorsed by and does not reflect the views of the DOE. · You can apply for loan consolidation or alternative repayment programs on your own without paid assistance through the DOE at Studentloans.gov. SLAC is not a loan servicer and does not renegotiate, settle, or in any way alter the terms of any payment or debt." There you have it. This guy Micheal called me to persuade me into believing that it is not a scam and when I asked him how my money was affecting my loan he said "it's to keep you enrolled in the program".I raise my case

I inquired with goslac.com as it is featured on social media to work with Dept. of Education to consolidate your student loans into one lower payment. They called me right away and asked all kinds of info about me. I felt uncomfortable with the whole thing so I told them I needed to discuss it with my husband first. We checked it out and it's a scam. Scary thing is they have lots of info about me and no idea who they obtained it.

Just signed up with them and I have a pit in my stomach reading this. Although the company I was with I've been paying for years and have only paid just over $100 on my principal balance. This whole thing just makes me want to vomit. I sincerely hope the positive comments below have some truth to them. I'm tired of being at the mercy of professionals who are not trustworthy.

Atari kid, Quick question did your REAL student loan office, notify you of these Federal programs prior to getting contacted by SLAC Inc? Because I was able to go from a $784 monthly payment down to $112 per month. I've never had a problem since I enrolled in the program with SLAC, since this has been available to me since March 2013. I wondered why they never notified me of this until I seen that all these Student Loan companies are for profit banks. Instead of them helping you all they is hurt your credit and get you into more debt. In other words SLAC helped me rebuild my credit by consolidating my loans and being able to make a lower monthly payment was a bonus. I thank SLAC everyday for helping me with the process. I was able to qualify for a Home Loan due to this consolidation. No SCAM just misinformed.

I had been contacted by this same company. Thinking this was about my student loan I had made a few payments myself. When I was contacted by the REAL student loan office and inquired why this part of the loan hadn't already been consolidated with the others, they told me that it wasn't part of any student loans that I had taken out. I have since changed my card and stopped payment to Slac.inc. I had felt like there was something off about them since then and even recently when they attempted to contact me again so I looked them up online. Now I'm glad I did!

Do you have any other information I am currently working with them. Is it possible to send me more information regarding them being a SCAM. I have searched for a month regarding their company and everything seems legitimate. Can you send me the link in regards to SLAC Inc being a scam, it would really help. Thank You!
