After placing an order with walmart.com, an offer popped up offering free gift if you take a survey. I took the short survey and then selected Tac Flare Headlamp as the free gift. It definitively stated "FREE" with $5.95 S&H. There was no "fine print" about any qualifications. I was charged $5.95 on credit card on 12/13/19. I received the headlamp on 12/23/19 in the USPS mail. 12/28/19 a charge of $49.99 appeared on my credit card. I called the company on 12/30/19. They claim that I had accepted a "14-day free trial" promotion. THERE WAS NO "FREE TRIAL" INFO IN THE OFFER THAT I ACCEPTED. They claim it was in the "terms and conditions" but it was not. I asked for a refund. They will only refund $39.95 if I return the product (I would have to pay for shipping also.) They offered to refund $20 if I keep the product. I accepted the $20 refund and kept the product. I then searched online and found other reviews/reports that they are "scamming" others the same way. I visited their website and clicked on "terms and conditions" and did not find any "trial period" info. In total, I paid $35.94 instead of the $5.95 that the promotion advertizes. This company should be required to clearly state any "trial-period" information as part of the promotion.Show more...
Tac Flare should be forced to clearly state that it is a "trial" offer in all of their advertizing.
