Travel + Leisure offered to purchase our timeshare in Cabo, Mexico for $28000.00. After we checked their background, we signed the sales agreement put together by their lawyer in Los Angels. They asked for 1% as a transfer fee to be wired to the bank in Mexico. We did. Then they said they wired $28000.00 + $2800.00 to us. The wire was not received. They traced and found the wire transfer was intercepted by St. Segov the Mexican government. They gave us a phone number to call Mexican government. Mexican government said after Donald Tramp's discriminatory action, they now require a capital gain tax of 20%, $6160.00 now. If we do not pay, they issue a warrant to arrest us. Travel and Leisure said they will reimburse us $6160.00 but we have to pay. We wired $6160.00 to the bank in Mexico thinking it was for Mexican government. The funds still not released after that because an agent commission of 5% was not paid yet. We wired $1400.00 to another bank in Mexico designated by them. They they said, they overnight the cashiers check for $36960.00 to avoid Mexican government to stop the transfer again. They provided DHL tracing receipt for this overnight mail. We never received it. DHL said that tracing number is not a valid number. Then they said the DHL package was intercepted and kept by Tijuana border custom for suspicious item. They provided a phone number to call Tijuana border. We called them they said the officer will call us back and they never did. The lawyer in Los Angeles is not returning our call. We now know we are for sure scammed.

No one is going to help you get out of timeshare for free. Be careful with the companies that ask for money up front. Make sure these companies have at least paid to be apart of the BBB. (even though the BBB is biggest scam too. youtube BBB 60 minutes for a good laugh) With that being said the reason these companies operate this way is because the companies that offer timeshare relief get scammed by consumers too. What I mean by this is when a customer has to pay to get out of something they don't want they feel like they got burned twice. The company pays a title service and a lawyer to get name removed from contracts and deed then the consumer doesn't pay for the service. It's not cheap but it's better than paying these big companies for a product that doesn't work. I know if you are reading this you probably want out of your timeshare. Sorry to tell you the harsh reality but there is a way out at least. If you have more questions or need help you can contact me @ 704-800-6742
