I downloaded universal driver update software from them last year. I got a pop stating that some of my drivers were outdated or needed repair so I clicked on the information. The pop up did a scan, told me I needed x amount of drivers updated, so clicked the prompt that said update all. When I came back to my computer my wifi had stopped working. I made sure it was not my internet provider and then called Universal Update driver AKA Tech Live Connect. The customer service people yelled at me and told me I shouldn't have updated them all at the same time and that is what broke my computer. I couldn't understand how if I followed the prompt from their software how I could have done anything wrong. At that point, I realized I had been scammed but was stuck. The people are so rude and are full of lies to extort money from you so you have to pay to fix the problem. I paid $300.00 to have them fix the problem after 2.5 hours of being on the phone with these awful people. I granted them permission into my laptop where they roamed freely and without my say or control. I tried to click them out multiple times and they kept taking control of my mouse so I could not. It was literally a verbal fight! I honestly feel they planted another virus or some problem so that I am forced to contact them again. Not to mention, with all the time they took, I feel they went through my documents, files and search history. They wanted me to purchase virus protection with horrible scare tactics about identity theft and promising this problem with my computer will happen again if I don't buy it. This was an awful experience and they keep calling me. Only time will tell how much of a headache this will lead to.Show more...
