      Michael T Scott stated he had a buyer Thomas White. I filed complaints with the DE real estate commission and DE Small Claims Court. Scott continues to say our refund of the $800 in closing fees is in the mail since Mr White backed out. We believe this to be interstate fraud and intend to file with the FTC.

      Advertised timeshare for sale on craigslist. Michael Scott called about having a buyers named Thomas and Helen White. I talked the Thomas made the deal and everything was going to go thru Michael Scott because Thomas White had used him before. All I had to do was send $681 for closing cost. I wrote a check and deposited the check into an account at Wells Fargo. After not receiving a call back from Mr. Scott or Tom White. Left messages and voice mail full of course. I've even texted them. Nothing... I have made a police report and FBI report of this company. I'm a young widow that was trying to sale the timeshare that me and husband brought in 2013. $681 is very hard to come by and what these men did to me and others is a disgrace. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY

    • Connected me with buyer for timeshare sale never occurred and no refund

      My experience is the same as described by another ripoff report. In February, 2017 Michael Scott contacted me to let me know he had a buyer for my timeshare (Thomas White). Thomas White contacted me and was interested. M. Scott and T. White agreed on a sale price. I was told a contract was signed by T. White. A legitimate looking contract (PDG) was also sent to me which I esigned. Things would proceed after they received $681 from me for their services. I sent the money and nothing was happening. I was told by T. White that the interest rate to finance the purchase amount was too high so they went to their credit union who would only finance 80% of purchase amount. A month later I was told that Vacation Properties by Owner would finance the remaining amount. And this is where things stand; M. Scott's and T. White's voicemail box's are full and the website no longer works.

      I began talking with Mr. Scott back in October of 2016 and I was notified that I had a seller for my Timeshare. I actually had the phone number and email for this seller. This sell fell through and I was notified of another seller but I didn't have their contact information. I would email and call a couple of times a week for updates. I was told that some documents have been sent to a bank but nothing further. The last time I actually spoke with Mr. Scott was on 7/21/17. This has been going on for almost a year and I was really hoping to be able to provide more for my daughter and get ahead on some bills and take care of my family.

      I was contacted by a so called real estate agent saying he had a client interested in my timeshare. I was given his contact information and actually spoke with the so-called buyer we agreed on a price and he was going to pay the closing cost back in the sale price. I was then sent Documents through Docusign and told that they would be sent their paperwork after they received my closing cost check in the amount of $800. That was in February and it is now July 30, 2017. When I said I intended to report this if I didn't receive my money back, I was threatened that all of my personal information (social security number, bank numbers, etc.) would be posted by them all over the Internet. I can no longer reach anyone and have not received my $800 back.

      I was selling our timeshare Mr. Scott claimed he had a buyer and I need to send $800 closing cost. the property never closed and I requested a refund in May it's July I have received my refund yet..tried to locate the website on line is no longer exist. I have emailed and called with no results. Still have not received my refund. it's July 24, 2017.

    Yes, i saw the same thing with the Wells Fargo account. I called too its an inactive account now, so what happen was they took our money and then closed the account.     I think I had success because I was the first person to file a claim and use the internet to expose him. He refunded me my money because he wanted me to delete this post, his name and the web site name. I did agree to designate the case resolved once I received my $800 back.

    Hey folks. Yesterday I filed a report here: https://complaint.ic3.gov/default.aspx?#. It is a site for reporting internet crime which I think qualifies due to VPBO website and email correspondence. It's an in depth report and this organization is part of the FBI. The more reports the better.

    Hi Leann, Please include me in the class action suit. I learned Friday (with help from my credit union) that my check was deposited in a account at a Wells Fargo. It was a Wachovia back in April when the check was processed. I'm sure the Bank Account # is already know by all, but here it is anyway 8526542793. The bank wouldn't disclose names on the account (as if that would matter) or location of branch where transactions occurred. My email is [email protected] Thanks for your efforts.

    Hey Jim, Thomas White was also my buyer. I found out yesterday that the account, where my check was deposited, is now closed. It was a Wachovia, now a Wells Fargo. Bank won't disclose names on that account.

    I had the same issues with these people. I sign the contract in March 3, 2017, it is Aug 10, 21017 and i get the same story from them like you all. I did this because i recently lost my father and i was trying to sell this timeshare. Micheal Scott EVEN HAD ME ALMOST LOST THE TIMESHARE I WAS THEN PUT INTO COLLECTIONS AND HAD TO PAY MORE. I filed with the BBB THE FTC and i am trying to file a complaint for is broker licence in PA . @jimantonicello:disqus what name did you use for Michael Scott ? i came up that is account is inactive as a broker.     Yeah I have those numbers. No one answers anymore and can't leave a message. And no response from their email addresses. I have a copy of their LLC license from Nevada. I filed a complaint with the Nevada Secretary of State.

    How did you get your closing costs back??? I will file a complaint too with the real estate commission, BBB and FTC. Thinking about taking it to the news. Sara Gravely's number is no longer in service and Mike Scott's voicemail Is full and the website is no longer active . I have ALL of the emails including emails with Robert Hall.

    WOW!! I was contacted by Michael Scott and told he had a buyer for my timeshare by the name of Robert Hall also. He locked Mr. Hall into a contract and then needed my money asap. I sent a check and they cashed it. Then we have went through 10 months of excuses why Mr. Hall could not get his financing. I then requested a full refund and now Sara Gravely's number has been changed and Michael Scott's voicemail box is full so I cannot leave a message. I have filed a complaint on the BBB what else can I do to make sure I get my money back? Thanks so much.

    WE have the same problem and filed small claim in state of Delaware. You filed in PA. You seemed to have results. What are we missing here? i.e who do we contact at FTC. Why did you file in PA? His office is in Delaware. Any help would be most appreciated.

    In addition to Mike Scott there was a Sara Gravely and a Thomas White involved. I have also filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commision. He is also a real estate agent working for a real estate group. I will publish their name and you can contact them also!

    I had the same situation only my buyer was Thomas White. I filed complaints with the BBB, FTC and Pennsylvannia real estate commission. Scott did call me and threaten to release my financial information on the Internet. For some reason he backed down and refunded my closing costs but did not give me the 10% earnest money I was entitled to. This guy needs to be put out of business once and far all!

    I also was almost taken by these scammers. I was told they had a buyer by the name of Robert Hall and was offered more for my timeshare than I was asking. After all the negotiations were done I was sent a contract that was between me and Vacation Properties By Owner (That was the first red flag). The contract should have been between me and Robert Hall. I was then told I needed to send $800 upfront for closing cost (another red flag) A seller should never have to pay upfront charges and I refused to do so but agreed to have the fees withheld from my proceeds. They said no it had to be this title company in North Carolina. I had my own people who could handle the closing and get paid at closing but they would not use them. Fortunately I am a real estate broker and know how these things are suppose to work. I had also googled their address and it was a ups store. After all of this I wrote a scam review and after was emailed threats by Michael Scott that he was going to expose my and my families personal information on the internet if I did not remove it. Bottom line, never ever ever pay upfront fees as a seller and if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
