I went to the Fox River Mall in Appleton, WI on 12/14/17 and was approached by a lady at a hair straightening kiosk. She curled my hair with the straightener and I liked how it worked on my hair. I agreed to make a purchase. They said I could pick any of their 7 colors, so I picked the purple one, as I assumed they were all the same since they didnt say anything different. They charged me 178.00 for the straightener, shampoo, conditioner, serum, and hairspray, as a “discount” they owner said I wouldn’t need a receipt because I am in their system now. I still took a receipt. The items that they used to sell me on the product smelled great like coconuts, the straightener worked great as well. I used the shampoo and conditioner and it smelled like plastic and water. I went to use the straightener that I got this morning 12/15, and it is not the same straightener they sold me on. I went back to the mall right away this morning and demanded my money back, or for them to give me the straightener they used the day prior. The girl agreed that the “black” straightener worked at a higher temperature, and they refused to exchange mine for that. They offered to exchange the exact same one that I purchased (purple one) for a fee of 25.00. When i looked in the case of straighteners today, i realized they do not even have the black one as an option to buy. So basically they use the really good one to straighten/curl people’s hair, and then give you one of significant less quality and they have a NO REFUND policy.. which they also fail to tell you. I want them to be honest with their customers, and I either want my money back, or I want the black straightener.
